On 20TH September 2021 Union signed Wage Settlement for the Transformer Unit in Kalwa with the Company.

The union served the Charter of demands for the workmen of Transformer Unit in Dec 2019. The negotiations for the wage demands started in the month of Feb 2021.

Mr. Pravin Deshmukh General Manager HR said we had to backout from the job classification and MOST as the transformers is a different product and we should handle it differently. Now that it is settled we can look for a bright future.

Mr. Girish Ashtekar General Secretary SWU, said that though the settlement was delayed for a very long period the negotiations were fruitful. Union has co-operated the Company considering the impact of pandemic on the business while settling the arrears. The workmen on the shopfloor have shown maturity and helped with the production in covid times and also were patient during the negotiation period. We all should work for the best of Transformer Unit.
