As an event of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of Siemens Workers union on 9th and 10th August 2023 Tree sapling distribution was carried out in Kalwa and Transformers Unit of SWU.
Whenever an organization takes an initiative like Tree Plantation, its members plant saplings in good numbers on that day but due to lack of proper attention and care many of the sapling do not live long enough to grow into a Tree. The motive behind distributing saplings was that every member who gets the sapling should take responsibility of the sapling and nurture it for one year and after that he should plant it to a place where it would further grow into a big tree.
Mr. Praveen Deshmukh, Vice President HR, Mr. Ganesh Pitale, Mr. Shashikant Hadavale, Mr. Ganesh Nadgouda along with the Office Bearers were present to distribute the saplings.
Around 500 saplings were distributed to the members from Kalwa & Transformers. Every members promised to take good care of the sapling so that the survival rate would be more that that of the regular Tree plantation drive.
